The Fabulous Four
1 November, 2015
Yes it is a fabulous figure - $ 4 million - and Te Akau Singapore trainer Mark Walker has achieved it again!

With Iking winning at Kranji on Friday evening, the magical $4 million in stakes' figure was surpassed - and is still climbing. Friday also saw an incredible (maybe frustrating for Mark) FOUR second placings as well as a third placegetter.
What that tells us is just how well Mark and our team have our Singapore horses running.
To earn $4 million in prizemoney for Te Akau owners is a wonderful achievement - congratulations to the owners that support us and race their horses in Singapore and well done to Mark and Julia, Gus and Karen and the whole team.
A special mention too for our Te Akau Singapore apprentice Shafiq Rusof - Suppy set a blistering speed early in the race for Apprentice honours. Last Sunday Suppy rode two winners, bringing up the superb tally of 50 for the season - that puts him a mile ahead of the second placed apprentice Harry Kasim who has ridden 23 winners for the season.
It is not long until the season wraps up for 2015 with Singapore working to a calendar year. We have everything crossed that, with a (current) nine and 12 win lead over Michael Freedman and Laurie Laxon repectively, Mark will have enough of a margin to secure his first Trainers' Premiership in Singapore.
Mark has recorded a massive 73 wins, 71 second and 109 third placings.
In New Zealand Te Akau trainers Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards also lead the New Zealand Trainers' Premiership with 24 winners, 19 runners up and 15 third placegetters for the season which has just concluded its first three months.
