Gear up, Team Te Akau fans! It's Karaka Millions' week, and just like the past seven years, Te Akau is aiming for greatness once again in these races for our owners.
Can Te Akau make it 8 from 8 and add another 2YO Karaka Million to our honour board? Or even have luck yet again in the 3YO Million, as well as contesting the new Million Dollar 4YO race - the Elsdon Park Aotearoa Classic.
Te Akau is the only NZ stable to have won more than one Karaka 2YO Millions, and we've also celebrated a Karaka 2YO/3YO Million double in the same night TWICE! The anticipation is electric, and we want YOU to join in on the excitement of the week, building into one of the pinnacle days of racing with us.
With only a few days until the TAB Karaka Millions at Ellerslie racecourse, it's the highlight of the year for Team Te Akau! Join us for a thrilling evening at ‘The Big E,' where Auckland Thoroughbred Racing hosts an unmissable party trackside, and unveils the first big black-type day on their new track.
Over the past seven years, the Karaka 2YO Million has been our lucky charm, with champions like Melody Belle, Avantage, Probabeel, Cool Aza Beel, On The Bubbles, Dynastic, and Tokyo Tycoon emerging from this race to claim exceptional Group 1 form. Let's not forget Probabeel and Pin Me Up in the 3YO Million! Plus we've had plenty of placegetters too!
To share the excitement with YOU, we're giving one lucky fan on our social media pages a $300 ticket on any of the Mark Walker/Sam Bergerson runners in the three Million Dollar races on the card over the evening. Make sure you are following us and simply comment below with the name of the Te Akau horse you want to back!
Now, we understand that not everyone in our Team Te Akau ownership base is on social media.
