'Tis The Group 1 Season Te Akau TV Weeknd Preview

Welcome to another edition of Te Akau TV.

This week we chat about the recent success at the NZTR Horse of the Year Awards and Matamata Racing Club Awards which were both held this week. 

Jamie talks through Monday's trials at Matamata and the recent retirement of star mare Savy Yong Blonk. 

We then turn our attention to Rydges Wellington Group One Captain Cook Stakes Day at Trentham where we have two good chances in Prise De Fer & Brando lining up. We then cover off our chances on the hometrack at Matamata, where Jamie gives you his best bet for the weekend. Between Jamie & Sam, they are currently at 5 from 6 winners over the last few weeks. 

We finish off with an update on our Karaka Million runners including Noverre & On the Bubbles who we will see step out in the coming weeks. Jamie also provides an update on the 2 year old race as a contingent of young horses will try and put their hands up to secure their place in the race over the coming weeks.
