Te Akau's David Ellis has again struck early - securing Lot 30 from the Inglis Easter Sale for A$300,000.

She is a filly by three-time Champion Australian Sire Redoute's Choice, himself a Group 1 winner who has sired the likes of Golden Slipper winner Miss Finland, Lankan Rupee, Samantha Miss, Lotteria, King's Rose and the superstar sire Snitzel.

Our filly is the first filly out of Aware, a three time winning Tale of the Cat mare, herself a daughter of that talented racemare Media - Media a winner at Group 2 and Group 3 level in Sydney was twice a Sydney Group 1 runner up, and was Group placed on six further occasions - including a third placing in the Group 1 Golden Slipper.

Close relatives include Tambourina (Group 2 winner, Group 1 placed), Cardinal Virtue (stakes' winner also Group 1 placed) and Tashbeeh (another stakes' winner and Group 1 performer).

The dam Aware has a Redoute's Choice colt that has just been weaned (so a full brother to our filly) and she is in foal to I Am Invincible.

This is a darned fine family that will ensure our girl has plenty of residual value, especially if she is as successful as we believe she will be on the track.

A ball of muscle, as athletic as they come - she will be very popular for certain!
