Wow Three Wins

It was an incredible day on Monday for Te Akau New Zealand trainer Jason Bridgman and Te Akau stable rider who combined to drive home three impressive winners at Rotorua.

The first was the Sir Peter Vela bred and raced Equanimity who won stylishly on debut.  It was a display so reminiscent of her dam Insouciant who was also trained by Te Akau to become the 2008 NZB Filly of the Year.

Two races later the team was at it again as top weight Rapid Gain posted a staunch victory, his second in just six starts.  Bought by David Ellis from the Sydney Easter Sale, this handsome horse showed plenty of heart to win, and win well, under 59kgs.

Final line honours went the way of King Savinsky who had performed with credit against the top company of his age group previously.  As a result he was sent out a very short priced favourite and dug deep to break maiden ranks. Another David Ellis purchase, this son of Savabeel was purchased from the Karaka Sale.
