“She’s out of a young mare by Northern Meteor, the sire of Zoustar, Deep Field, Shooting to Win, and he was such a loss to the Australian breeding industry,” said Te Akau principal David Ellis.

“The mare of already left a winner. There is a lot of two-year-old form in this family and she’s an ideal Karaka Million prospect. She’s strong, athletic, well balanced and she moves really well.

“She’s a good type and colour and Foxwedge in particular has left some really good fillies.”

Mark Baker (Hallmark Stud) said: “She’s a strong, precocious, great moving filly, with the most wonderful laidback temperament.

“The Foxwedge fillies are consistently black type performers. She’s out of a Northern Meteor mare, gone through the preparation taking everything in her stride and a consummate professional.”
