Lot 238 bay colt All Too Hard – All Day Baby (More Than Ready) $190,000 (draft: Windsor Park Stud)
All Too Hard (Casino Prince) is a half-brother to the unbeaten champion Black Caviar (Bel Esprit), who won all 25 of her starts, including 15 Group One wins, and he is the sire of Queensland Horse of the Year Alligator Blood.
All Too Hard has sired 33 stakes winners, among 723 wins in total.
Dam All Day Baby is by international sire More Than Ready (Southern Halo). Incredibly, world renowned dam sire More Than Ready (Southern Halo) has sired 3,525 winners including 239 stakes winners and 45 Group 1 winners, and already proving an exceptional Australian broodmare sire. He has been a Champion Sire in both hemispheres, proved to an outstanding sire of sires, and going from strength-to-strength as a broodmare sire.
“He’s a really nice physical specimen in the mould of his strong Australian pedigree,” said Te Akau principal David Ellis CNZM. “We rated him really highly and by a stallion that has left a lot of winners in the time he’s been at stud.
“There is Australian Group form in Melbourne by his grand-dam, Translate (Love A Dane). There is plenty of speed in the family, he has a lot going for him and we think he will be a fast horse.
“He’s a ripping type, walked really well, and although there was very strong competition for the horse we were pleased to get him.”
The colt carries a cross of breed shaping stallion Danehill, who sired 349 stakes winners.
