By successful stallion Zacinto (Dansili), a beautifully bred horse that stood in the South Island before relocating to stand this season at Valachi Downs Stud in Matamata. He was second ranked to Champion stallion Savabeel (Zabeel) in percentage stakes winners to runners – over 8% which places him in elite Australasian stallion company.

His dam sire, Marauding, a fast son of legendary stallion Sir Tristram, won the Golden Slipper and successively sired Golden Slipper winners Burst and Prowl. Marauding was a tremendously strong young colt with an excellent pedigree.

“He really impressed us with his physical presence,” said Te Akau principal David Ellis. “He’s a big strong colt and we’ve been keeping close tabs on the stallion. Stakes winners to runners his ratio is very good, and this colt is from a mare doing a very good job.”
