Towering Vision became his sire Circus Maximus' first ever Southern Hemisphere stakes' winner when he showed huge determination to fight back when headed in the Listed $80,000 Waikato Equine Veterinary Stakes 2YO SW 1400m in May 2025.
In the hands of Craig Grylls he had to dig deep and showed enormous courage to record his first stakes' victory at just his third start - and having to survive a protest by the runner-up.
The very last yearling to sell from the 'Class of 2024', Towering Vision debuted for third in December 2024, and followed this with another third placing fresh up in April 2025, before his stakes' win in May - followed by a runner up placing in the $100,000 Listed SkyCity Champagne Stakes 2YO SW 1600m at Ellerslie later that month.
Resuming as a 3YO, Towering Vision was a close by fourth in the $100,000 Listed Trevor & Corallie Eagle Memorial 3YO SW 1500 once again at Ellerslie on 29 November 2025. it showed his toughness, being forced to race three wide from the 800m - he never gave up for rider Wiremu Pinn.
With some familiar themes, Towering Vision returned once again to Ellerslie on New Year's Day 2026 - this time ridden by Opie Bosson CNZM in the $80,000 Eagle Technology 3YO SW+P 1600m. It was a superb display, after being slow away from a tricky draw, the three year old powered home down the outside to claim victory by just under a length.
In February 2026, Towering Vision continuing on his Group 1 NZ Derby path was beaten only a long neck in the $275,000 Group 2 Legacy Lodge Waikato Guineas 3YO SW over 2000m with Opie Bosson ONZM aboard.
Towering Vision was purchased by David Ellis CNZM from the Karaka Sale Book 1 for $105,000 and is raced by the Te Akau Look Smart Racing Partnership (Mgr: Karyn Fenton-Ellis MNZM). He has never finished out of the top five in his eight starts to date - winning twice, placing six times for stakes' earnings of $175,630.
