Lot 287 bay filly Proisir – She’s Aloof (Pentire) - Rich Hill Stud

By New Zealand Champion Stallion Proisir (Choisir), sire of high-quality fillies and mares: Levante, Legarto, and Prowess. 

Proisir has risen through the stallion ranks to become one of the best in New Zealand, leaving good quality racehorses, some of which, especially the fillies, have beaten the best in Australasia. 

The filly is a product of two of the best stallions to stand in New Zealand, Proisir (Choisir) and Pentire (Be My Guest), both from Rich Hill Stud. 

Dam She’s Aloof has already proved herself as a broodmare, leaving magnificent specimen Lupo Solitario (Satono Aladdin), who won three of six starts to 1400 metres, including the Bonecrusher Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m) and finishing second in the Sarten Memorial (Gr. 2, 1400m), before selling to Hong Kong. 

The family has stakes winners throughout, especially fillies, including three-time stakes winner Include (Gallant Guru), winner of 10 races to 1600 metres, and Sharp Princess (Pins) a stakes winner that won six times to 1600 metres. 

Further back, Champion Filly Slight Chance (Centaine) won six Group One races, including the Sires’ Produce Stakes (Gr. 1, 1400m), Queensland Oaks (Gr. 1, 2400m) and VRC Oaks (Gr. 1, 2500m). 

“The mare is doing a fantastic job and left a stunning horse in Lupo Solitario, who showed plenty of ability,” said David Ellis. 

“She’s a beautiful type of filly, with a lovely walk, and really strikes us a 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) type filly. 

“It’s a terrifically deep family, with talent going back four generations to Lady Aloof, who produced Joint Top Australasian Filly Slight Chance. 

She won 12 races including six Group One. 

“She really is a beautiful filly, flows when she walks, and any amount of quality about her.”

The filly carries a cross of Champion Sire Centaine (Century) on the dam lines of both Proisir and She’s Aloof, and also a cross of immortal sire Northern Dancer.
