TO RACE FROM OUR AUSTRALIAN STABLE - this filly is by Golden Slipper (Gr. 1, 1200m) winner and Champion Two-Year-Old in Australia Capitalist, a son of Champion Sire Written Tycoon (Iglesia), whose extraordinary feats as a stallion include being an outstanding sire of sires.

With his oldest progeny turned five-year-olds this season, Capitalist leads Champion Sire Snitzel (Danehill) at the same stage of their careers in stakes winners and two-year-old stakes winners – which is some achievement.

Like himself, Capitalist is renowned for leaving good quality sprinters.

The filly is out of a mare, Fromparis Withlove, that stakes placed and won three races to 1400 metres, and her two progenies to race have both won. By Smart Missile (Fastnet Rock), who sired Welcome Stakes (Listed, 1000m) winner Sassy ‘N’ Smart for Te Akau, the female line is good quality.

Second dam Umaquest (Umatilla) was very competitive in group and listed races during a career of four wins to 1400 metres, before leaving seven individual winners of 19 races, including Group Three winner Yattarna (Exceed And Excel).

‘She has the pedigree and fits the mould of a strong, early type, of two-year-old,’ said David Ellis.

‘The mare has already done a good job at stud with two-year-old winners, and this filly is a beautiful bodied specimen that has plenty of quality about her.

‘We’ve had success with the progeny of dam sire Smart Missile and we can certainly see his influence in the makeup of this filly.

‘Newgate Farm that prepared her have an exceptional record producing two-year-old winners, and we were really pleased to buy this filly at a good value price.’

The filly carries a pedigree cross to breed shaping sires Mr. Prospector and Danehill. Mr. Prospector on the dam sides of both Capitalist and Fromparis Withlove, and Danehill on the dam line of Capitalist and sire line of Fromparis Withlove.
