Te Akau Friday Update

Date: 28 Jun 2013

It was a very bitter winter's day yesterday in the Waikato but it was time to be out and about off the farm as I went to Cambridge Stud to inspect Burgundy who is now happily resident at the world famous farm.  I was just blown away by how good he looks - mind you, he has always been a magnificent looking individual.

Sir Patrick Hogan told me that in his 40 years of operating Cambridge Stud, he has never had a stallion that has settled in so quickly and Sir Patrick is really excited about Burgundy's future.  The demand for bookings is already strong.

Today I travelled to Auckland for a number of meetings so it is a busy end to the week.  I am looking forward to our Singapore runners stepping out tonight and on Sunday and to the New Zealand team of three at Ruakaka on Saturday, the same day at Goosebumps contests the Hawkes Bay Hurdles at Hastings.
