1.05 p.m. R2 1 Mongolianconqueror  (6 g Ocean Park - Queen Rania) - Joe Kamaruddin (a4); rounded off from last with a notable effort for fifth in the Open 1400 metres on 3 November at Ellerslie, and drops in grade for the $35,000 Rating 74 1600 metres. Claiming to 60kgs, he has ability but requires luck from a wide draw (17). Fixed odds: $19.00 & $5.50.





1.05 p.m. R2 8 Aromatic  (4 m Sacred Falls - Vickezzchardonnay) - Opie Bosson; resumed with a tenacious victory in the Rating 65 1400 metres on 10 October at Matamata, extending her record to three wins and two seconds from five starts in the Rating 74 1600 metres on 31 October at Awapuni. Remaining in the same grade for the $35,000 Rating 74 1600 metres, she incurred a 2.5kg increase to carry 57.5kgs and rates a top four chance. Fixed odds: $5.50 & $2.15.





1.40 p.m. R3 1 Quattro Quinta (2 g Darci Brahma - Quintette) - Opie Bosson; was professional winning comfortably on debut in the Maiden 2YO 880 metres on 26 September at Ellerslie, and, freshened, he finished second in the Pearl Series 2YO 1000 metres on 7 November at Te Rapa. He rates a top three chance in the $50,000 Fasttrack Insurance Stakes (Listed, 1100m). Fixed odds: $3.20 & $1.40.





2.18 p.m. R4 7 Luminous  (5 m Reliable Man - Keenly) - Joe Kamaruddin (a4); was below here best in two resuming runs and freshened since the Rating 86 1600 metres on 5 September at Te Rapa. She made good ground when trialling on 12 November at Ellerslie, and receives a chance to show improvement in the $30,000 Rating 74 1400 metres, drawn barrier 5, with weight relief to 53.5kgs. Fixed odds: $31.00 & $8.50.





4.00 p.m. R7 2 In A Twinkling  (5 g Fastnet Rock - Moment in Time) - Opie Bosson; resumed with two notable efforts before being inconvenienced by rain-affected shifty footing in the Haunui Farm Karaka Classic (Listed, 1600m) here on 31 October. Defending his title in the $100,000 Franklin Auctions Counties Cup (Gr. 3, 2100m), he rates a top four chance if brings A-game. Fixed odds: $7.00 & $2.50.





4.00 p.m. R7 4 Savy Yong Blonk  (5 m Savabeel - Ampin) - Danielle Johnson; freshened following three starts which culminated in winning the Open 1600 metres on 19 September at Hastings, she ran home belatedly in a solid effort for sixth in the Thompson Handicap (Gr. 3, 1600m) on 25 October at Trentham. She has good form up in distance and despite drawing wide (13) rates a top four chance in the $100,000 Franklin Auctions Counties Cup (Gr. 3, 2100m). Fixed odds: $3.90 & $1.75.

Weather: fine, track: Dead5, rail: outside bend, out 5 metres 800m - 400m, remainder out 8 metres. Showers forecast Saturday.





12.45 p.m. R1 1 Perfect Scenario (3 g Iffraaj - Rosetti Bay) - Ryan Elliot; delivered fresh-up with a strong gallop in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres on 14 October at Tauranga, and again with a smart victory in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 28 October at Te Aroha. He has the right credentials to prove tough in the $25,000 3YO 1300 metres. Fixed odds: $2.50 & $1.25.





1.20 p.m. R2 4 Romantic Lady  (4 m Power - Romantic Time) - Ryan Elliot; completed a hat-trick of wins in December at Matamata, and second twice from three starts during her recent campaign. She finished second when trialling on 5 November at Matamata, and resumes in the $27,500 Rating 74 1200 metres. A staunch and talented competitor, she rates a top three chance with luck from barrier eight. Fixed odds: $3.10 & $1.30.





2.30 p.m. R4 5 Weaponry (5 g Declaration of War - Cat Shmea) - Lisa Allpress; kept up a good gallop for second when trialling on 15 October at Avondale, and resumed with a solid effort in the Open 1200 metres on 31 October at Pukekohe. Winning five from 11 to 1600 metres, including the Southland Guineas (Listed, 1600m), he rates a top four chance in the $32,500 Bulls Country Cup (Open, 1400m). Fixed odds: $4.60 & $1.35.





4.18 p.m. R7 11 Mai Tai (4 m Atlante - Tropical Punch)Ryan Elliot; was big off a wide run winning the Pearl Series Maiden 1200 metres on 14 October at Tauranga, and good late for third during a deluge in the Pearl Series Rating 65 1200 metres on 31 October at Pukekohe. She brings the right form to rate a top three chance despite drawing wide (12) in the $22,500 Rating 65 1400 metres. Fixed odds: $3.60 & $1.65.
