Te Akau NZ Thursday Trackwork

Te Akau track work Thursday May 2

Course proper (slow):

Exabelle (Miller) and Prospero (Stack) worked around from the winning post, clocking 1:24 for the 1200 metres and 38 for the final 600m. Exabelle just handled the footing and would be hoping for improved conditions for the Benchmark 65 2000 metres on Monday May 6 at Matamata, while Prospero showed to have come on considerably from his most recent trial as he prepares to resume on Monday May 13 over 1670 metres at Paeroa.

Debuting in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres at Matamata, O'Darci (Stack) worked with Spellbinder (Miller) over 1000 metres in 1:08, last 600m in 37.7. They both ran nicely through the line. Two from two at the trials, Spellbinder (O'Reilly) has been entered for the two-year-old race on her home track next Monday but wet footing would see her reserved.

Sand track:

In preparation to trial on Tuesday May 7 at Te Awamutu, Adalia (Dye) and Polarity (Stack) worked over 1200 metres in 1:23, last 600m in 40.

Riedel (Miller) completed preparations for the Benchmark 65 1600 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa, working a three-quarter pace over 1200 metres and running home an easy 600m in 38.7. He did his work comfortably and looks in good order.

Rapid Gain (Lang) and 3 g Darci Brahma - Royal Rhythm (Stack) worked over 800 metres at three-quarter pace in 56, last 600m in 40.3. They continue to make good progress while preparing to trial later in the month.
