Te Akau New Zealand has three horses racing on Friday 15 November at Ruakaka.
Weather: showery, track: Dead4, rail: out 3.5 metres. No rain forecast Friday.
12.20 p.m. R1 2 Ocean Star (4 g Ocean Park - Star of Gibraltar) - Opie Bosson; co-led before being claimed to finish fourth in the Maiden 1400 metres on 30 October at Te Aroha, and contests the $10,000 Maiden 1600 metres. Drawn barrier five, further improvement would rate him an each way chance.
2.40 p.m. R5 1 Swing Note (5 m Encosta De Lago - Andallthatjazz) - Opie Bosson; was doing her best work through the line when resuming in the Open 1600 metres on 28 October at Te Rapa, and drops in grade for the $20,000 Rating 82 2100 metres. Winner of the Spring Classic (Listed, 2000m) last October at Riccarton, she carries top weight (59kgs) but appears ideally placed in a field of six.
4.25 p.m. R8 3 You're Welcome (4 g Camelot - Chorus of Angels) - Opie Bosson; worked home nicely when trialling over 1000 metres on 23 October at Te Teko, and resumes in the $10,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. He won on debut over 1200 metres, has blinkers on, and proving competitive in this field would be a good start.
