The colt has a strong influence of breed shaping stallion Danehill (Danzig), as the grand-sire of Bivouac while also represented on his dam line, plus the dam line of Whitehaven. Bivouac, by internationally acclaimed Australian Champion Sire Exceed and Excel (Danehill), was a racing colt of the highest order, Champion Male Sprinter in Australia, winning three Group One races to 1400 metres in Australia, plus a Group Two, two Group Three, competing at Group One level in 12 of 22 starts and always proving competitive. The quintessential racehorse and Champion First and Second Season Sire in Australia, dam sire Pierro only ever ran in stakes races, winning 11 of his 14 starts. 

The unbeaten Triple Crown winner as a two-year-old amassed $4.5 million, and sired over 1100 winners, 64 stakes winners including 10 Group One. The grand-dam of the colt, Pattini (High Chaparral), is a half-sister to Golden Slipper (Gr. 1, 1200m) winner Vancouver (Medaglia d’Oro).
